Join Judith Drake as she cooks up a DELICIOUS snack tied to the theme of the wonderful film “Ladies In Lavender” . Judith with her terrific 30 year-old hugely popular recipe and her ‘Mrs. Doubtfire takes no prisoners’ attitude is loads of fun. You’ll want to order the film and run out to pick up the ingredients for the snack. Who doesn’t love a good movie and an easy to make snack. Directed by Debbie Zipp and Jan Bina.
AND
MOTHER AND DADDY KNOW BEST, a new film by Debbie Zipp
Mary Eileen Williams, from the Feisty Side of Fifty ”
http://feistysideoffifty.com/ says: “Debbie asks her eighty-something-year-old parents (who are lovely people by the way) their advice on love and marriage. In their common sense approach, they share the wisdom of their years and the content of their hearts. Their words may be deceptively simple, but their thoughts are deep and profound. So take a couple of minutes, check out “Mother and Daddy Know Best,” and hear the voices of the Greatest Generation as they share their thoughts on life. Their words will warm your heart and feed your soul in ways that only a parent can.”

TOMATOES IN THE TRENCHES BLOG TALK RADIO is an entertaining half hour of lively conversation for smart women over 40 with a wide range of guests on a variety of topics. We’ve grown a lot since our first episode on July 1 2009. We have been privileged to have so many terrific guests with stunning accomplishments, great information and interesting points of view. And we are very proud and thankful to our guests and listeners.
This weeks’ guest was filmmaker Cindy Kleine who spent over 12 years interviewing and filming her parents, the subjects of the just released documentary, “Phyllis and Harold”. As the film unfolds, family secrets are revealed to tell a story that could not be shown publicly until her father died. Director Mike Nichols calls the film "shocking and riveting in a hundred ways". Filmmaker Ken Burns calls it a "masterpiece". The show today with Cindy was remarkable and revealing.
Next week we’ll be talking with Fashion Designer Gabriella Carlson who seems to have cornered the market for the ‘over-40’ and ‘beyond-size-six’ set. She is a wonderful designer in NYC who designs for women over 40, of all sizes and shapes....she is delightful and will give us all kinds of advice on looking our best.
You can listen LIVE online every Wednesday at 1PM EST or if you miss a show we highly recommend you scroll through all past archived episodes and listen on-demand 24x7.
