5th Annual "Reach Out Saturday"
Community is invited to help assemble survival packs for the homeless

On June 4 and 5, Brentwood based nonprofit "The Giving Spirit" will hold its semi-annual event that assists homeless teens, youth and mothers with families. Community members and friends will build and distribute 1,000 'survival backpacks'.
The "The Giving Spirit" is a 10-year-old organization dedicated to easing the plight of L.A.'s homeless population. Last December the group had more than 1,000 volunteers participate in the event which allowed them to distribute 2,500 kits and at that time, they proudly delivered their 10,000th survival kit.
Assembly begins June 4 at 6 p.m. Registration for assembly and distribution begins June 5 at 7:30 a.m. at the Brentwood Presbyterian Church, 12000 San Vicente Blvd. To register visit
