Brentwood Digital Collage Artist Maureen Murphy Takes a Solo Mystic Journey
Maureen Murphy will have her first solo show at Mystic Journey, 1319 Abbot Kinney Blvd. in Venice, February 1, 2012 - March 31, 2012.

Murphy, a Brentwood resident since 1974, was in her 60's when she took her love of collage digital - studying Photoshop and computer software at Santa Monica College.
“These classes opened up a whole new world for me - keeping me juicy and sharp!” Murphy said. “I was always intimidated by teachers but now that I’m older than them I’m not anymore! There is something very good about raging, I mean aging,” she said with the perfect slip of the tongue, and trade mark humor.
The 20 piece collection (prices $45- $575) is spriritual in nature and will be on display at Mystic Journey Bookstore in Venice during February and March. Bookstore hours are: 11am-9pm Sunday to Thursday, 11am-11pm Friday and Saturdays
