Shelter Pets Get The Star Treatment For Valentine's Day
Local photographer helps Santa Monica Animal Shelter pets find their Valentine with an adorable photo series.

As part of photographer and animal lover Sharon Hardy's continued efforts to find shelter pets homes, she shot a series of photographs showcasing dogs and cats wearing adorable outfits on a festive set of red and pink.
“There are so many great dogs and cats at the shelter, and showing them in this light allows people to see them as wonderful pets - not just animals behind bars,” said Hardy of Sweet Potatoes Photography. “These photographs make it easy to see that dogs and cats at shelters are kind, obedient, and adorable, and they can make someone very, very happy if given the chance.”
The shelter will use these photographs on their Petfinder.com page, as well as their monthly flyer that gets distributed all around Santa Monica.
