In 1970 two young doctors, Philip Rossman, MD and Mayer B. Davidson, MD, started seeing patients at no charge at a small office on Lincoln Blvd. Soon there were lines of people in need of health care snaking around the block.
Since those humble beginnings forty years ago, the Venice Family Clinic has grown into the largest free clinic in the USA serving about 24,500 patients a year at its eight locations thanks to generous donors and talented doctors.
