Los Angeles, CA – On Sunday, June 7th, more than 1,000 prominent members of Los Angeles’ Westside community participated in The Associates annual fundraising event for Vista Del Mar, one of the country’s most respected mental health agencies for children and families.
Guests dined on a beautiful buffet dinner before enjoying a special concert performance at the Saban Theater by Broadway star Hershey Felder whose show, The Great American Songbook, offered a sampling of works by America’s greatest composers from the past century. During the performance, the maestro both serenaded and created 'sing-alongs' with the audience to capture the feeling of an exclusive Broadway soiree.
Nearly $200,000 was raised to support Vista’s comprehensive array of programs that include residential treatment, programs for children on the autism spectrum, a non-public school for more than 300 special education children, adoption, and outpatient mental health services.
The Associates, composed of women volunteers, is Vista’s main support group and primary fund-raising arm that also operates an annual holiday toy drive as well as assorted membership events.
