Award-winning actress and evangelist Maura Gale will join Gospel recording artists Ami Rushes and Marjané on Saturday, Oct. 3 in support of Hosanna Broadcasting Foundation’s 5th annual fundraiser, “Blessing Africa – Sharing the Agape Moments”. The event will be held at the Four Points by Sheraton LAX in Los Angeles. Proceeds from the gala, which will include an African bazaar, food, live music and a fashion show, will be used to support two children’s project in Africa – Hosanna House and Hosanna Soccer League. Hosanna House is an orphanage for girls who have lost their parents due to the HIV/AIDS virus and Hosanna Soccer League is a program dedicated to caring for young boys who live under extreme poverty and who otherwise would not be able to attend school. Both programs currently assist more than 100 disadvantaged children ages 8 to 14.
“We’re honored that such talented artists are joining us for this year’s fundraiser,” said Tersit Asrat, founder of Hosanna Broadcasting Foundation. “We are so very thankful for them and appreciate what they are doing to help Hosanna Broadcasting Foundation bring awareness and support to many of Africa’s most vulnerable communities,” said Asrat.
Ms. Maura Gale will be the emcee for the evening, which will also include live performances by Rushes and Marjané. The program starts at 6:00 p.m. Donations are $35 in advance and $45 at the door. Vendor information may be obtained by calling (310) 348 -9188.
