Patricia Anne Phillips is a published author of seven romance novels. After her daughter’s health started to decline, Patricia was asked to move into her daughter and family home. Her daughter had a car accident, and two months later was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). After the car accident it was devastating to see her suffer with more extreme symptoms. Soon Patricia realized that living with a family member that has Multiple Sclerosis makes changes for everyone in the household. That was when she decided to write a book that wasn’t one of her romance novels, but a novel that was based on a true story, with true facts that could help others.
Since MS is diagnosed more in women than men, Patricia wanted to write a story that would inspire and uplift women self-esteemed. Multiple Sclerosis is a chronic, unpredictable disease of the central nervous system (the brain, optic nerves and spinal cord. Most people are diagnosed between the ages of 20 and 50. MS is not considered a fatal disease as the vast majority of people with it live a normal life-span. But may struggle to live as productively as they desire, often facing increasing limitations. Also, Multiple Sclerosis progresses faster in African Americans than other races.
