Anne Hathaway walked away with Best Supportin Arches
It all started with Mr. Black’s Best Dressed List for the Oscars, and now there are a plethora of “best” lists during award season. Talk about brow beating, there is now a “Best Brows” list, from renowned celebrity eyebrow stylist and professional makeup artist Joey Healy.
Healy, who has his own Joey Healy Eyebrow Collection of cosmetics, had plenty of sass and smack to say about some of the A-listers at last week’s Golden Globes.
And the Winners are…
Anne Hathaway came away with Healy’s Best Supporting Arches distinction. The Les Miserables starlet “dazzled the red carpet with bold, brunette brows which worked perfectly to balance her short pixie cut and frame those big brown eyes,” exclaimed Healy.
This is 40?
The Modern Family’s Sofia

Sofia Vergara's signature thick brows were out in full force
Vergara sported the perfect modern brow on the red carpet according to Healy: “Thick, yet exceptionally manicured … Her signature brows out in full force. Her bushy shape coupled with her free-flowing hair kept this 40 year old beauty looking ageless.”
No Statue for You
Jenifer Lawrence may have taken home the Golden Globe for best actress in a comedy, but according to Healy her eyebrows were no Silver Lining.
“Her brows flat-lined (literally) on the red carpet, offered much to be desired. Her deflated brows made for a permanently etched in grumpy expression.”
Don’t Fret Jodie
One of the most talked-about presentations of the Golden Globes was Jodie Foster’s sorta-coming-out speech, but unfortunately Healy says her brows were not so stellar.

Healy says Jennifer Lawrence's flat brows gave her a grumpy expression
r />“While I applaud Jodie for rocking a thick brow, they are too shapeless for my taste. Close but no cigar! The slightest indication of an arch in her shape (placed 2/3 of the way out) would give her a flattering lift. Also the heads of her brows (the front) appear darker than her tails - this shows a lack of uniform density. Her tails could stand to be a touch darker. Also, the overall color of her brows should be less warm and more neutral.”
