In anticipation of the centennial of the incorporation of the City of Beverly Hills, the Beverly Hills Chamber of Commerce announces its signature event, Beverly Hills Tomorrow, will take place for the first time ever on Tuesday, April 9, 2013 4:00pm – 7:00pm at the world-renowned Beverly Hilton Hotel.
“We designed the Tomorrow event to celebrate the great ideas and bright minds that help make Beverly Hills, and Southern California in general, such an innovative region that draws people from all over the world to reside as well as do business here,” says Alexander Stettinski, Executive Director of the Beverly Hills Chamber of Commerce. “Without the foresight of important cultural and business leaders who founded the city 100 years ago, and contributions of many others throughout the 20th Century, Beverly Hills could not have evolved into the cultural icon and beacon that attracts the world’s attention, welcoming thousands here each year. That’s why we want to look to local visionaries who are helping to shape the way the world thinks, and offer specific insights into the way business will evolve as we progress further into the 21st century.”
The first Beverly Hills Tomorrow will be organized as a two-part session. The first part takes place in a two-hour session in the Beverly Hills ballroom, where each executive will share brief thought-provoking and inspiring presentations, and his/her visions and ideas of yesterday, today and tomorrow, in front of an audience of 400 to 500 people. The second part will be a one-hour Salon allowing a more intimate discussion, where attendees can follow an executive into a smaller area and ask questions and network among themselves.
The participants include: Emcee Frank Mottek, veteran broadcaster and host of the top-rated Business Hour and anchor of Money News, on KNX 1070 News Radio; Michael Burns (Vice Chairman of Lionsgate Films), who helped engineer the acquisition of Summit Entertainment; Henrik Fisker (Executive Chairman, Fisker Automotive), whose tenacity and passion to pursue a childhood dream of becoming a car designer became a reality; Lynda Resnik (Vice Chairman, Roll Global); and Dr. Eduardo Marbán (Director, Cedars-Sinai Heart Institute). The audience will include business people of diverse backgrounds, ranging from small business owners to chief executives and entrepreneurs. The ticket cost per person is $150 for Chamber of Commerce members and $200 for non-members. Hors d’oeuvres and beverages will be served through the event. Sponsors for this event include Wells Fargo The Private Bank, Barclays Bank, Mercedes-Benz of Beverly Hills, Rothstein Kass, Torrey Pines Bank; media sponsors include Angeleno magazine and KNX 1070 News Radio; the publicity sponsor is Carolyn Kamii Public Relations.
“The goal of this special event is to engage business leaders in a dynamic conversation about the Southern California economy,” adds Stettinski. “Our plan is to make Beverly Hills Tomorrow an annual event that brings together futurists, visionaries and progressive thinkers from various industries.”
The Beverly Hills Chamber of Commerce serves as the voice of business in Beverly Hills. Through programs and events, it inspires, educates, connects, encourages and strengthens the local business community.
