5% Day at Whole Foods
On April 27, 2011 The Giving Spirit was honored as one of Whole Foods' Markets "5% Days".

Brentwood and Los Angeles Friends and Neighbors,
I have been a volunteer and committee chair for The Giving Spirit, The Giving Spirit, a non-profit organization helping LA's homeless community through direct volunteer interaction, for nine years.
I have watched this worthy (and 100% volunteer operated) Brentwood based charity grow into the incredible operation that it is today. (250k annual budget, 4,000+ homeless served each year, 1,500+ volunteers each year).
We were honored to be selected by Whole Foods as the recipient of their community giving days (otherwise known as “5% Days”) on April 27. Five percent of that day’s net sales are donated to a local nonprofit or educational organization.
