Guided mindfulness sessions will be offered every Thursday beginning today, January 7th in the Billy Wilder Theater at The Hammer Museum located at 10900 Wilshire Blvd in Westwood.
Mindful Awareness is the moment-by-moment process of actively and openly observing one's physical, mental and emotional experiences. There is scientific evidence to support the effectiveness of this practice in reducing stress, improving attention and promoting a general sense of health and well-being.
The weekly "drop-in" session will be led by UCLA Mindful Awareness Research Center's Director of Mindfulness Education Diana Winston and Dr. Marvin Belzer, a visiting professor from Bowling Green, a 20 year teacher/practitioner and our In-Resident Mindfulness Teacher.
