Soho Comes to Santa Monica in 2010

Bloomingdales will open its second SoHo concept store, the first outside of New York City, at Santa Monica Place in 2010. Bloomingdales will join Nordstrom as the key tenants in the new development. Macy’s will close its Santa Monica store in 2009 and the space will be transformed into the Bloomingdale’s outlet. As Bloomingdale’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Michael Gould told Women’s Wear Daily earlier this fall, “If there is a SoHo Los Angeles, it’s Santa Monica.”
