The Acting Studio at Edgemar Center for the Arts to Offer Sitcom Intensive Class with Bard Garrett
Actor/comedian Brad Garrett will teach a six-week Sitcom Intensive at The Acting Studio at Edgemar Center for the Arts on six consecutive Tuesday evenings starting July 26, 2011 through August 30, 2011.

Students will be exposed to all aspects of comedy and be given the tools to develop great comedic instincts and timing. Topics covered will include: cold reading, auditioning technique, character development, script breakdown and analysis.
The class will culminate with a showcase for industry professionals. There are 22 working spots available in the class with auditing opportunities also available.
Garrett became a stand-up comedian after winning “Star Search.” He starred as Robert Barone on “Everybody Loves Raymond” and as Eddie Stark on “’Til Death.” He won three Emmy ® Awards and a SAG Award for his role on “Everybody Loves Raymond.” Garrett is also one of busiest voice-over talents in Hollywood and starred in the Broadway revival of “The Odd Couple.”
