Author Stacy West and the furry friend who inspired a book
Stacey O’Brien, wildlife biologist and author of New York Times bestseller Wesley the Owl, will appear at G2 Gallery in Venice on Sunday, February 6 at 2:30 pm to talk about her 19 years as companion and guardian to Wesley, a barn owl. G2 Gallery is located at 1503 Abbot Kinney Blvd, Venice, CA 90291, 310-452-2842.
Stacey first met Wesley on Valentine’s Day.
During her appearance, Stacey will explain how she was able to communicate with Wesley in their own language, which was both verbal and physical, and discuss Wesley’s display of complex emotions, including affection and love. Also making an appearance is a barn owl that is provided courtesy of the South Bay Wildlife Rehab.
