“One of the best in the country!” Daily Variety – a spectacular all-day theatre camp where young people make friends, expand their imagination and have fun, as they act, sing, dance, play theatre games, and work with costumes and make-up, to help create an always awesome fully staged original production. The extremely popular Summer Theatre Camp at Santa Monica Playhouse,
now celebrating its 50th anniversary, offers sessions for every age group, 4-6, 6-14, 13-17, and to fit every schedule, from the 4-week Play Production Camp to the one-week Create-A-Play Project.

Teens create a dramatic original play
ns for ages 6 to 14 (June 28-July 23; August 2-27) and the Midsummer Madness One-Week Create-a-Play Project (July 26-30). Teen Performance Lab (ages 13 to 17) meets July 19-August 13. Early Stages Camp for 4 to 6-year-olds meets Mon through Fri, 9am to noon, Aug 9-27 and includes story-telling, sing-a-longs, crafts, theatre games and performance.
Playhouse conservatory alumni include Kate Hudson, Zooey Deschanel, Emily Deschanel, Jason Ritter, Jason Segel, Monet Mazur, Obi Ndefo, filmmaker Shana Feste, writer/producer Rina Mimoun, casting director Liz Dean and New York City Superintendent of Alternative Schools and Programs, Cami Anderson.
