Venture inside Santa Monica’s Fairmont Hotel for a dining experience not easily forgotten. The recently opened restaurant, with its plush banquettes and classic table settings, offers so much more than a menu worth talking about or wine to get excited about.
Staff here is friendly without fault, catering to every culinary whim, including to those with dietary preferences, such as vegetarians and vegans. Refreshingly, no request at FIG is too difficult.
Arrive early to enjoy a glass of wine at the classic pewter bar, while sampling artisanal cheeses at the dedicated cheese and charcuterie station. Choose a table with a view of the Fairmont’s manicured gardens or sidle up to your neighbors at the communal table, where strangers are encouraged to mingle. Flavors here are nothing short of incredible, with kudos to go to chef Ray Garcia and FIG forager Kerry Clasby for finding, and preparing the region’s freshest ingredients.
