Los Angeles, CA – October 17th, 2011 - The 3rd Annual Camp Kesem “Fore” the Children Charity Golf Tournament will take place at the gorgeous MountainGate Country Club in the Santa Monica Mountains. The event will raise funds to continue giving free overnight summer camp to children who have or had a parent suffering with cancer.

ABOUT CAMP KESEM: There are 1.7+ Million cases of cancer each year in the United States and there is much needed support for grown-ups but the special emotional needs of children of cancer patients has been overlooked. Camp Kesem provides these children with one free week of overnight summer camp every year. This is a student-run organization with its beginnings in 2000 at Stanford University. Today, there are 35 universities involved with college students leading and operating the organization. Camp Kesem, the only organization of its kind, was placed in the top six of over 500,000 charities competing in 2010‘s Chase Campaign. Most recently, Camp Kesem was nominated by the LiveStrong Foundation and received grant money to launch ten new camp sites. Please support this cause by bringing awareness to the community at large.
