Appeal Denied for Doctor Who Caused Mandeville Bicycle Crash
By Brentwood News November 2011 | November 23, 2011
Dr. Christopher Thompson appealed his five-year sentence and lost. This is the individual who was driving down Mandeville and who slammed on his brakes, causing two bicyclists to crash. One hit the back of the car and was severely injured.
Thompson, 61, was sentenced to five years in state prison in November 2009 and convicted of assault with a deadly weapon, battery with serious bodily injury and mayhem in connection with the July 4, 2008 crash.
Thompson told police at the time that he hit his brakes in front of the cyclists in order to “teach them a lesson.” The California Supreme Court recently refused to hear his appeal.

Thompson lost his appellate court appeal in July 2011. Then, in August 2011, his attorney filed for a rehearing, which was denied. Finally, in November 2011, a petition for review was denied by the Supreme Court. Please find someone who can gather facts and write sequentially before publishing confusing information online. |
