Commission Hears Pleas to Keep Council Districts Together

A series of meetings have been taking place to discuss boundaries for city council districts. Bill Rosendahl, supported by several community leaders, is asking that District 11 remain contiguous and intact.
Nancy Freedman from the BCC attended one of these meetings recently and told the commission that, because of the traffic problem on the Westside, it was important to come up with solutions that address the entire district. This would be harder, she said, if the district were broken up in any way.
Years ago, CD 11 included pieces of the Westside and the San Fernando Valley. Most observers agree things are much better now.
The redistricting process is expected to be finalized by March 31. For more information, or to add your input, go to:
