Overbaugh's class was a part of the St. Joseph Center's Culinary Training Program, an innovative vocational initiative to help unemployed men and women get back on their feet by training them for then assisting them in getting jobs.
The program consists of ten weeks of classroom and kitchen training and establishes a career path that provides plenty of opportunities for advancement.
Chef James Overbaugh is currently mentoring students through the internship program in the kitchen of The Peninsula Beverly Hills and is thrilled to share his culinary expertise with the students of the St. Joseph Center.
