BeautyTicket.com names Taylor Armstrong as Chief Creative Director
Bravo’s “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star will provide strategic direction for the online beauty retailer
January 19, 2011
BeautyTicket.com, the online retail destination for premium beauty brands up to 85% off, has named Taylor Armstrong as Chief Creative Director. Armstrong, who is known for her business acumen and entrepreneurial spirit, has also purchased a 30% equity stake in the company.
Recently named InStyle’s “Best of the Web 2010,” and Women’s Wear Daily’s “Top Beauty e-Tailer,” BeautyTicket.com approached Armstrong after learning about her background in the ecommerce and management consulting arenas.
“Taylor is not just a pretty face with a great sense of style,” remarked Lindsay Pedder, CEO and founding partner of BeautyTicket.com. “She is the quintessential entrepreneur and has used her savvy to build and grow multiple businesses over the past decade. We believe that with her current role as a ‘television personality’ combined with her business expertise, she has the ability to take this company to a different level.”
Added Armstrong: “I was very impressed with the business model of BeautyTicket.com. I look forward to collaborating with the founders to further develop and grow the budget-savvy, premium beauty portal. It’s exciting to be working alongside a group of female entrepreneurs, and I know that women everywhere will be thrilled with what we have planned for the future.”

Taylor Armstrong is the LAST person I would want representing my company. Her message "Fake it till you make it" won't bring in new clients or sincere customers. This is pathetic. |
tc oklahoma | 8:32am on Sunday, February 20th, 2011 | I can understand someone wanting to improve your looks. If someone wants to enhance your lips and/or cheeks. But,I think when they look in the mirror they see the enhanced body parts, and not the entire face. Does she not realize that her face looks dreadful? Does BeautyTicket not realize that she looks ridiculous ? |
K TX | 8:04am on Wednesday, February 16th, 2011 | Why would this company allow someone who has this dubious of a background to represent the company??? This is an awful mistake. I mean, a REALLY awful mistake. |
M. Myers CA | 10:27am on Saturday, January 29th, 2011 | I don't see how hiring a reality "star", of dubious business dealings and a penchant for buying her way into companies, will in any way benefit beautyticket. In fact, as she is not widely respected in either the business or the reality arenas, I predict that associating with her for the exposure she brings will backfire. I for one would never frequent this site because of what I see of her on RHOBH, as the manner in which she portrays herself and treats others is neither admirable nor at all unacceptable -- she sets women back quite a few years. I'll stick to the other beauty discount sites who don't choose to try to benefit from the notoriety of unsavory characters. Good luck with that. |
L Carrier BMB | 7:03pm on Wednesday, January 19th, 2011 | Is this company using Taylor for exposure since she is on a reality show?
Her lips look ridiculous, so make-up...bot an item she should market.
As far as her business savy-questionable. Why did she change her name twice before her first marriage? What about her & Russell federal investigations regarding past business ventures? No information I
have researched gives her any credible
acknowlegements as a person of business accomplishments that are noteworthy...recent bankruptcy? Her image on the reality show is not a positive one in most viewer's opinion. |
