Author and Entrepreneur Megan Lisa Jones
In a changing and challenging publishing landscape, during a recession, Megan Lisa Jones partnered with BitTorrent to launch her debut novel, "Captive". The thriller was a Amazon Breakthrough Novel Award Semifinalist for Amazon's and has won critical praise.
Now, thanks to Jones' creative efforts and business savvy, The Wall Street Journal has included her in its "Small Business, Big Innovation" contest which highlights how innovative US small businesses coped with and thrived from the crippling 2007 through the present.
Readers will be asked to vote for their favorite story starting September 12, 2011 while a panel of 10 judges will select 10 finalists and an ultimate winner who will be featured in the Journal's Small Business report to be published on November 21, 2011.
"I know it's a Hollywood cliche, but it really is an honored to be nominated -- well, included -- in anything sponsored by the Wall Street Journal. I am truly humbled and just so very excited," said a beaming Jones, "I hope that I my answers can help other small business people swim and not sink during these trying economic times."
