Jon Krawczyk
Jon Krawczyk and Leslie Sacks Fine Art began working together in 2009. Since that time Leslie Sacks has maintained an installation of Krawczyk’s abstract stainless steel and bronze sculptures in the garden at the Brentwood Town and Country on San Vicente where the gallery is located.
In late 2010 Krawczyk began envisioning his 9/11 Memorial Cross for St. Peter’s Catholic Church near Ground Zero, and brought Lee Spiro, the Director of Leslie Sacks, on board as project manager.
Leslie Sacks comments, “As I see it, the essence of Jon Krawczyk’s 911 Memorial Cross and the soul of his cross-county pilgrimage is that which ties all free men together. The hallowed ground in New York, the Wailing Wall in Jerusalem, the beaches of Normandy and other such sites where people have sacrificed for freedom are memorials to the ineffable free spirit o
f human kind, all equal under God. Leslie Sacks Fine Art is pleased to be of assistance in establishing this memorial.”
